Iceland The Endless Black Beach from Dyrhólaey Viewpoint
I love this view from Dyrhólaey over the black sand beach along the shoreline. The spot is about 115 metres above the sealevel. If you have luck you will see also puffins flying around the rocks. But my intention was this amazing view. There is also a lighthouse located up here.
Photography Tips
In Iceland, even bad weather conditions give you the possibility to capture nice images. No matter how, just make the best use of the moment. If you're going in the late afternoon you will get awesome results when the weather fits. Take some time to wait for different weather situations as it always looks different.
Travel Information
Easy to access by car from the main road 1. With strong wind sometimes, be aware of the doors of your rental car. From the parking lot, it's just a short walk to get there. It's not that frequented like other Icelandic highlights, but it's definitely worth a visit. I took my image early in August.
