Iceland Grímsárvirkjun
Grímsárvirkjun is the site of a hydroelectric power station south of Egilsstaðir in the Icelandic Eastfjord. The power plant itself is rather unimposing. The excess water from the reservoir shoots into a canyon through bizarrely jagged rocks in several parallel cascades.
Travel Information
The location is just off road 95 where the hydroelectric power station is signposted. There is a parking lot at the power station.
