Iceland Bjarnaflag Geothermal Area
The region of Bjarnaflag, east of Reykjahlið, is filled with steam. It is emitted by several buildings of the geothermal power plant Bjarnaflagsstöð on both sides of the Ring road.
It supplies the "Blue Lagoon of Mývatn", the thermal bath "Jarðböð” (Earth baths) with hot water, too.
Directly by the road is the sewage basin of the power plant with milky turquoise water. Opposite the lake, on the other side of the road, it steams directly from a larger fallow.
