Iceland Buða Beach
Buðir on the south coast of Snæfellsnes is famous for its tarred black church, the lavaflow Buðahraun with its variaty of forms, and a long beach of shell sand.
The beach is a surprise. Lava, in many places, is engrossed, covered, absorbed by sand. Often, it still juts out.
