Iceland Rauðasandur

A few kilometers east of Látrabjarg a narrow gravel road leads through serpentines down to the Atlantic. Here at the base of the rock lies a first class beach. The shells of a certain mussel tint it slightly pink. That caused the name pink or rosy beach (Rauðisandur). The approach already presents a grand view over the bay framed by rock massives.
