Traveling to Iceland means you have to visit this iconic waterfall! It's pretty much the most famous one for a good reason. The dimensions are extreme, and you can walk towards it very close, making it even more impressive! Be prepared, because you get wet!

Photography Tips

I used my drone to get a different angle of the waterfall. They have no drone signs here, which are more to protect the visitors. Therefore I came here in the summer at 4 in the morning when nobody else was around. Safer to fly the drone. But its definitely a grey zone.

Travel Information

You can park your car at the marked parking lot. The road is in excellent condition and driveable for any vehicle. Just the car park has gravel parts and is a bit bumpy. Free of charge for visitors. When traveling in Iceland, it is always nice to check www.safetravel.is for travel information.
