Skógafoss waterfall in the south of Iceland is besides Seljalandsfoss one of the most popular ones. Both are quite close to each other and directly located at route 1, making them extremely easy to reach.
The waterfall itself is around 25 wide and 62 meters high. There is a path at the side you can walk up to hike and follow the river towards Landmannalaugar or just get up there to enjoy the view. In the middle of the path, there is a small fork towards a natural platform, that offers a view to Skógafoss from the side.

There is a huge parking area in front of Skógafoss, making this waterfall extremely easy to visit and reach by driving down the route 1 in the south of the country. This means as well, that there are usually quite a lot of tourist busses, visiting this location during the daytime.
Since this waterfall is extremely touristic, it's better for serious photographers to visit this place in the summer during the night or during time slots in general that are not that comfortable.
