Iceland Hvanngil Hut

The Hvanngil Hut is one of a few mountain hut deep in the highlands of Iceland. It's situated after some difficult river crossings and offers amazing views into the magical highlands.

Photography Tips

Make sure to have some classic composition here. The hut could be your major object but you also want to show some foreground (black sand) and the Rocky Mountains in the backdrop.

Travel Information

In order to get here, you should have a proper 4x4 vehicle with an attached snorkel. Always check for closures and weather conditions when traveling that far into the highlands. You will have no signal around. So better bring a satellite radio and GPS.
