The church you see today is largely a reconstruction that was done in the early 1700s after a series of earthquakes badly damaged the structure in the 1500s and 1600s. It’s one of the UNESCO world heritage churches in Modica. The town is also famous for Chocolate.

Shooting amazing interiors, for me, means super-wide angle lens, tripod and time to wander around, just looking at the place. In Sicily, this is all permitted - its a church photographer's dream

Street parking nearby is possible if you are lucky. Remember too that churches in Sicily close for lunch from 2:00 until 4:00.
