Italy Chiesa di San Pietro
The church you see today dates back to 1597 when it was built by order of Pope Clement VIII but also contains extensive reconstruction after a series of earthquakes in the 1500s and 1600s. Some of the artworks found inside date to the 1400s. It’s one of the UNESCO world heritage churches in Modica. The town is also famous for Chocolate.
Photography Tips
Shooting amazing interiors, for me, means super-wide angle lens, f16 or even f22, tripod and time to wander around, just looking at the place.
Travel Information
Street parking nearby is possible if you are lucky. Remember too that churches in Sicily close for lunch from 2:00 until 4:00.
