Well-marked hiking trails lead to the lake from the village, offering visitors an immersive experience in the alpine splendors.
The parking is along the main route, just in front of the restaurant. The spot was taken from the opposite front of the Blue Lake, which in winter is frozen. The Matterhorn isn't normally illuminated in the night and is often covered by clouds.
