Italy Gola del Furlo gorge
Between Fossombrone and Acqualagna, south of Urbino, lies on the ancient Roman Via Flaminia the picturesque gorge Gola del Furlo. The rock walls left and right reach up to 900 m high. A dam in the river Candigliano creates an elongated lake that contrasts aquamarine with the bright cliffs.
