Italy Canyon at Campo Imperatore

Between Campo Imperatore and Piccolo Tibet, in the Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga, a canyon runs through the steppe-like barren landscape. At a parking lot on the only road through the area there are several accesses to the gorge. It is obviously also a drainage channel for meltwater of the surrounding mountains.

The canyon is walkable (probably except in spring) and even marked as a hiking trail.
