Probably one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Gangi consists of many old small houses laying on the cliff of a hill in Sicily. The origin of the town remains unclear, however the existing houses were built in the 13th century. It is also known for the 1-Euro houses that anyone can buy. Gangi was also one of the most important towns that fought against the mafia. In the town, there are a lot of photography spots and many alleys and narrow streets. It is definitely a must visit if you visit Sicily.

Photography Tips

It is worth it to spend a whole day in Gangi. Photography during sunset and blue hour is most suitable. There are endless photography themes in the town.

You can park the car at the top of the town and walk it through by foot. Plan extra time if you are visiting the city, since the roads connecting the coast to Gangi are in a pretty bad condition.
