Lake Misurina is one of the most beautiful lakes in Dolomites, northern Italy.

Photography Tips

The lake is calm mostly on sunrises and sunsets and clear skies are rarely to be seen in that region.
I recommend to take multiple exposures and tripod is a must.

Travel Information

The location is quite high above sea level (1800m) and far off main highway SS12. I wouldn't recommend traveling there just to take photos. Better choice would be staying 1-2 nights in one of a few hotels near the lake for a nice photo opportunities and there are a lot of them as you taking a walk around the lake.
