Kyrgyz Republic Panorama view, Ak-Sai Canyon

Ak-Sai Canyon is one of the most spectacular in the country. It is reminiscent of the Grand Canyon in the USA, but much more detailed with many veins through dried-up river courses. The contrast from the red sandstone in the lying shadows at sunrise and sunset are simply impressive.

Use the drone to capture the play of light and shadow from an elevated perspective. There are so many possibilities here. So use the battery and just try it out.

As always, make sure the drone has a secure connection, the local winds and that you have a flying license with you.

Marked road signs lead from the main road into the dry riverbed through the canyon to the edge of Issyk-Kul Lake. You should drive with a 4x4 car and let the air pressure out of the tires in order to drive over the sometimes very soft sandy ground without any problems. From there you can hike easily to the panoramic viewpoint in around 30 minutes. It's a gravel road up and down. So make sure you have trekking poles with you.
