Kyrgyz Republic Valley view near Rajon Tüp
You travel along lonely paths without any tourism on the idyllic border with Kazakhstan. There are many beautiful views of various valleys along the route, as well as far-reaching views of the great mountains of both countries. You also pass a few yurts and farmers, where you are always welcome.
Photography Tips
Always have your camera here with a lens like the 24-70mm ready to hand. For example, you can attach the camera to a clip in your rucksack. You will thank him for it because you will often find the motivation to take a picture quickly.
Travel Information
Directly at the border to Kazakhstan you have the chance to drive a loop to the Sari-Jaz valley and than further back to Karakol. For this route you need to have a really good 4x4 car. It is so important to have an experienced driver who knows the area. You should also always make sure you have enough fuel (extra canister) and all the tools you need to get yourself out of the mud if you get stuck.
You can camp anywhere on site or ask the few individual nomads if you can spend the night there.
As you will pass two military posts, you will need a special permit for the area, which you must apply for in advance from the government or a tourism provider!
