Kyrgyz Republic Yaks in Kakschaaltoo mountain range, Rajon At-Baschy
With a bit of luck yaks can be found in the high mountain area of Kyrgyzstan. It is a species of long-haired domesticated cattle. which are normally found in the Himalayan region. A rare encounter that makes the heart beat faster.

Travel Information
Unfortunately, the most beautiful mountain range in Kyrgyzstan is also the most difficult to reach. Only the most experienced drivers in the Naryn region dare to go here and never drive alone. Due to the proximity to the Chinese border, you pass through two military posts and need a special permit from the government, which you can obtain from tourism associations such as TerraMontis etc! The small path, which is initially still on gravel and sandy roads and really not well developed, leads over some huge old drinking water pipes that are in danger of collapsing.
