Each year in spring the street turns totally pink, for a few weeks. This spectacle attracts thousands of visitors every year from all over the world. You should try to go there early in the morning if you want to get an image without a crowded street, if you only want to enjoy this awesome spectacle be there whenever you want, you will love it. To walk under the carpet of pink flowers with hundreds of people, making selfies etc. is pure quality time and an experience that you don't forget that quickly.

Not only the Heerstraße turns into pink, the Breite Straße will be pink, too.
To get there by car is easy, in Bonn are a lots of parking garages. For this location i recommend you the parking garage of the townhall, it's very close to the the Heerstreet (Herrstraße) and cheap, too. But it's easy to reach the location by train too. Travel to Bonn Mainstation and than change to tram (61, 62 or 66), and dismount at Stadthaus and you are already there.
