Mexico Benito Juarez Park
This is the central plaza in the only town on the island of Cozumel, Mexico. This is a major tourist destination with a low key vibe. Every Sunday night the local tourism officials put on some kind of music performance. This is well attended by locals and tourists alike. There's a lighted fountain, an old clock tower, lots of people from toddlers to ancient.
Photography Tips
During the day there's a fountain that shoots water up from the pavement. Little kids love it, as well as overheated tourists. On regular nights the fountain is lit from beneath - very colorful. On festival nights, they turn the fountain off. Be polite - ask for permission before you take a photo of a person.
Travel Information
If you're on the island just head for the center of town near the waterfront. Parking is hard to find. If you can't walk just grab a taxi - they're everywhere and fairly cheap, and you don't have to park them.
