The Khongoryn Els is a part of the Khongor Sand Dunes and with up to 300m in height the highest in the whole stretch. From there, you can overlook the whole landscape.

Travel Information

You can drive there from several points. The easiest and fastest is from Bayandalai. Make sure to have a proper 4x4 car (recommended) and be experienced with driving in sandy conditions. Otherwise, you can book yourself a tour or a car with a driver. Entrance is around 2,50 EUR. The card is accepted.
