Netherlands Deventer Woodsaw Mill during sunset.
The mill was built in 1863 by the Elfrink brothers. The wooden eight-sided, top-hunter with scaffolding stands on a square substructure with sawing shed and has a slipway for pulling the tree trunks out of the water. The position is at a height of 5.60 m. The owner has been the municipality of Deventer since 1967. The mill is operated by the Bolwerksmolen Foundation. Molenaar has been Ber Fort since 2002.
At the beginning of the 21st century the mill appeared to have subsided in such a way that a radical one-and-a-half-year restoration was necessary. The mill was completely disassembled, piles were placed in the ground and a new foundation was placed. Then the mill could be rebuilt. The hull and the hood also got a makeover. Since the spring of 2007, the mill can do its job again and the blades turn like they used to.
