Definitely worth a visit. You'll be impressed by these windmills. There are 19 windmills in the cite. You need to walk 1.5km (about 10 minutes) from the gate to the photo taking spot. Once a year (for 6 days), the mills will be illuminated.

Photography Tips

Early in the morning, you have the best light. There are a lot of people later.
You need a tripod the wind here is strong.

Travel Information

Parking straight at the Spot is quite limited. But when you get to the village of Kinderdijk, there is a huge parking zone with a bus shuttle to the windmills.
To be honest, it is the Best time in the early morning. Very peaceful. No people at all.
Also, you can take bus 489 from Rotterdam.

Just a small spelling correction: it is called "Kinderdijk" :slightly_smiling_face: And being a Dutchman myself, I didn't know about the yearly illumination of the mills, so that's nice to know :flushed:
