Netherlands Watertower Werkhoven
In the middle of the beautiful Kromme Rijn area, near bicycle junction 57, along the Watertorenweg is the Watertoren van Werkhoven. The Water Tower was built in 1935/1936. The Watertoren has been inhabited since 1989 and the tower opened its doors to the public in 2012. The Kromme Rijnstreek is the outside of Utrecht. The river landscape meets the Utrechtse Heuvelrug here. Country estates, extensive nature, fruit orchards, the Kromme Rijn, meadows, cultural history and the flood plains along the Lek; you will find it all within cycling distance of Utrecht.
