Netherlands De Terp
The mound (Terp) from Leidschenveen is the name of the former mound for garbage in Leidschenveen, which nowadays partly serves as a noise barrier. Laurens Kolks and Dennis Lohuis designed a real work of art in 2009. The small white church on top of the mound is empty inside and cannot be viewed from the inside as it is empty and has no particular function.
Photography Tips
The Terp is located between busy streets and in the middle of a residential area where, especially during sunset, the kids go up the hill and sit at the front of the chapel. Just be patient, they will eventually go away :-) if you are interested in bnw long exposure any time of the day is fine, just look for a cloudy day.
I have chosen the composition that includes the railing of the bridge but of course, there are many compositions all around the mound.
