The Zaanse Schans is an open-air museum and one of the most famous tourist attractions in the Netherlands. It offers a huge and well-preserved collection of historic windmills and houses which can even be visited. Some of the windmills are still operated. This is an interesting spot for everyone who is interested in industrial and dutch history. And of course it is a stunning spot for photographers as well.
