Netherlands Shiplocks IJsselmeer Afsluitdijk
The Fish Migration River is a winding ‘river’ with a length of four kilometres, straight through the Afsluitdijk. This ‘fish passage’ enables migratory fish to swim from the salty Waddenzee to the fresh IJsselmeer whenever they want. And, naturally, back again.
Photography Tips
The best spot to take photos is a boat (vessel), but there are without a boat also severral interesting spots for landscape photography. The afsluitdijk is 35 km from Friesland to Noth Holland. Sunrise and sunset are the best times tot take pictures. It's a windy area with sometimes very strong wind and al loty of Kitesurfers. A tripod and filters are a good option
