Netherlands City center of Groningen
The Groningen Provincial Hall is the administrative center of the province of Groningen. The building complex is located in the city's heart on the east side of the Martinikerkhof. The front building at the Martinikerkhof dates from the early twentieth century, and the rear, containing the state hall, is the former Latin Sint Maartensschool of Groningen and dates from the late Middle Ages.
Photography Tips
The city center of Groningen is very picturesque. Unless it is a very narrow location, I prefer to use my 28-70 lens to compress the photo and prevent the buildings from falling into the photo due to the wide-angle lens effect. A telephoto lens is helpful to capture some details of buildings.
Travel Information
Groningen itself is hard to explore by car and also unnecessarily. You should visit by train or park your car at one of the Q-park stations around. The city center is easy to explore on foot or by bike.
