The Blauwbrug bridge across the Amstel river is a wonderful spot to take different Amsterdam photos close to the center of the city. On the one hand side you have the view on the opera of Amsterdam on the other hand side you have the view on some typical drawbridges (e.g. the Walter Süskind drawbridge on the photo).

The place is wonderful for day and night photos. Take your tripod with you for night photos.
