New Zealand Kura Tāwhiti Conservation Area
The Kura Tāwhiti Conservation Area, also know as Castle Hill provides some great limestone rock formations. The area has been used as a movie set in including the battle scenes in the Narnia movie. You will normally find several people bouldering.
Also a great spot for milky way shots at the right time of year.

Photography Tips
Think about your subject. I have yet to come away with a photo that met my expectations as the scale of the place makes if difficult to just focus on just what is in the viewfinder.
