New Zealand Lake Lyndon, Canterbury
Lake Lyndon is a small alpine lake on the road between Christchurch and the West Coast. It is just past Porters Pass.
It can freeze over in winter, but can provide nice reflection at all times of the year. When it does, skipping stone over it can produce a wired spaceship like sound.
In summer, the lake levels can drop, but if there is no wind, it is still a nice place to stretch the legs and click the shutter.
