New Zealand Tunnel Beach
Tunnel beach is a really fun site close to the city of Dunedin in New Zealand. It allows for some great beach and wave action with a wonderful backdrop. It is important to check to tide tables as the beach itself can only be reached at low tide through a tunnel cut into the rock. Don't get caught there as the tide raises!
Photography Tips
Find the right time, bring a tripod and try out either a ND filter or polarizer. This would make for a fantastic sunrise if one could coordinate the tide and sunrise times together.
Travel Information
Drive south from Dunedin to ample parking and hike down a short path to the coast and find the tunnel to descend. It is a tight fit. Make certain you watch the tide and don't stay too long.
