Incredible panorama from the top of Mount Stokes. This is the highest point of the Marlborough Sounds at 1203m.

Photography Tips

Don’t carry too much stuff up there. The track is really tough.

Travel Information

You can only get there by a 1:30h - 2:30h hike through the forest. The track is really tough so make sure you don’t pack too much stuff (don’t forget water and something to eat!). Official duration of the track is 5 hours return (it took us 3h). Pack some warm clothes, it can be very cold and windy up there.
