Norway Eggum
Eggum is an idyllic little fishing village on the Atlantic coast in northern Norway, in the Nordland region of the Lofoten Islands on Vestvågøy.
On the coast of the island of Vestvågøy is the old fishing village of Eggum, abandoned between the sea and the mountains. Many travellers come here to experience the midnight sun. The rest area facing the open sea with a parking place was laid out in the form of an amphitheatre. To the west of the rest area stands an ingenious work of art by Markus Raetz: a head that looks at the sea and - depending on the angle of the observer - stands right around or on its head.
