Norway Gudbrandsjuvet, Valldal
Gudbrandsjuvet, that's like fireworks, but in water! About a third of the way from Sylte to Trollstigen, directly along and under road 63, the river Valldøla offers this spectacle. Coming from the hinterland, the turquoise water first flows over cascades along the campsite and in a curve to a narrow point. There it falls in a twist and shoots on through a narrow canyon and under the road. From the car park above at the road, a futuristic-looking, wheelchair-accessible steel walkway zigzags to the main fall and on.
