Norway Lake Blådalsvatnet seen from the Dam

Lake Blådalsvatnet has been enlarged by means of a dam. Its water level can vary by tens of metres. The lake with its turquoise glacier water and the landscape surrounding it are extreme and picture-perfect. The water level is a result of hydroelectric power generation. At the end of summer, much of the water is "used up" by the turbines. Rain and snow in autumn and winter, as well as snowmelt, will replenish the lake.
