Norway Likholefossen
The Gaularfjellsvegen follows the natural course of Gaularvassdraget down from the mountains as road 613. It is one of the few protected watercourses, offering wild rapids, waterfalls and quiet stretches. Between Nystølen and Eldal, a continuous hiking trail almost 25 km long leads to many of the 29 major waterfalls. This Fossestien runs along the Gaula River parallel to the Gaularfjellsvegen Scenic Route.
The Likholefossen waterfall is something of a highlight of the route and, with the bridge over the falls, its flagship.
