Norway Røros view
Røros is a beautiful small town with many wooden houses that dat back to its copper mining days. Copper was mined until 1977. The town is now on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is an interesting Norwegian destination away from the fjords.
Photography Tips
To get a photo like this one you have to climb up one of the slag heaps to get the good view. There are in fact quite a few bumps to choose from. In summer they are brown but nicely covered in white during winter. For a photo you are looking west, so mornings are best.
Travel Information
You can drive there as part of a route going from Oslo to Trondheim. There are plenty of parking spots around town and it is easy to walk around.
