Portugal Peniche
On the north coast of Peniche, there is a small peninsula with limestone and volcanic breccia, known as Ilhéu da Papoa. This rock formation presents a karst pattern, being a popular fishing spot, also providing beautiful views of the sea. It is also a surfer's refuge when the wind blows from the southeast and also an excellent spot for watching seabirds. Peniche is the best spot for watching migratory birds in Europe.
Photography Tips
I used a 24-105mm lens. Any time of day is good to photograph this rock formation but dawn is certainly the best time to do so. Beware of this area which is extremely windy.
