Portugal Cromeleque do Xarez Stone setting
The Cromeleque do Xarez is a megalithic site from the 4th or 5th millennium B.C. It consists of 55 menhirs and is no stone circle but square. And because it is not in its original place, it does not unfold the magic that can be experienced at other stone sites. The place where the Cromeleque do Xarez stood has been under water since the 2002 damming of the Barragem de Alqueva.
