Romania View over majestic Bucegi mountains
You know that you arrived at the spot when you pass by the serpentines (4 or 5) and the view opens (if you reach the uphill houses or the road sign Pestera just return). Look on the right side and you'll see a small hill which you will climb and set your tripod for photos. Area is also full of beautiful photography spots so it worth to take a walk on the Pestera village unpaved paths. Get a stick with you, there are open yards in the village and dogs can stray.

Photography Tips
Sunset in autumn and winter is a must. The sun triggers the beautiful sunrays over the Bucegi mountain. Actually you'll be standing between two mountain ridges (north - south orientation) and you can take also photos of Piatra Craiului mountain which opposes to Bucegi mountain.
Travel Information
In the Locations field I have mentioned how you can get there: country, closest city, closest village. You can travel only by car, the place is in a remote area but beautiful and unique. You can rent a car in Brasov, then it's a 40km driving to Pestera village. On the road you can visit Dracula's castle at Bran. After you pass by Moeciu village entrance sign careful watch for an Y intersection but you continue forward another few hundred meters and turn right (road sign is on the left and is a bit hidden). Then after you pass the houses still from Moeciu village, there is a turn to right (follow the asphalt) and it starts an uphill road. If it's winter (as in my photo) for this last portion of the road you need winter tyres on your car or even winter chains after a heavy snow.
