With altitude of 3718m, Pico del Teide is the highest peak in Spain. The volcano overlooks the island of Tenerife and offers magnificent view.

Photography Tips

Be very careful of altitude sickness. Go light. During winter, there is a very strong wind on the top. Be prepared.

Travel Information

The path starts at approximately 2200m, near the cable car. If you are lazy to walk to the top, take the cable car, which will take you cca 500m below the top. It will take around half an hour to reach the peak, depending on weather conditions and your strength. The other path starts at Montana Blanca (there's a small parking lot) and leads to Refugio Altavista. You can reserve a bed online and spend a night before the final ascent.
