Spain El Acebuche
The largest and most famous National Park in Spain is Doňana. It is a largely silted river delta with huge flood plains, Mediterranean dry bush and desert-like shifting dunes. From the visitor center El Acebuche there are boardwalks through an open landscape with pine trees and bushes. At the lagoon (Laguna del Acebuche) there are some observation huts from which you have an unobstructed view of the water surface and the reed islands.
Travel Information
To protect nature, the whole area is fenced and hardly explorable. Groups are driven in large four-wheel drive vehicles through parts of the park. Therefore, El Acebuche seems to be the only location to enter a certain area on feet.
