Alcala waterfront walk is great for walks in the evening, watching the sunset or having a cocktail. For photographers, there's a few small beaches with interesting rocks as well as lots of rock formations nearby that create water pools with beautiful reflections during the receding tide.

Photography Tips

Be careful when going out to the rocks, they might be slippery. Watch for the waves and protect your equipment from salty water. Use graduated filters or bracket your shots during sunset. For best light, come during sunset.

Travel Information

There's a parking at the beginning of the promenade. In the evenings I never had issues finding a spot. Otherwise just follow road signs to Alcala and San Juan.
