The Bunkers del Carmel in Barcelona is a historic viewpoint offering stunning panoramic city views. Originally built as anti-aircraft defenses during the Spanish Civil War, it has become a popular spot for locals and tourists to enjoy sunsets and relax. Located on Turó de la Rovira, it provides a unique perspective of Barcelona’s skyline, including landmarks like the Sagrada Família and the Mediterranean Sea. Abandoned constructions on top of a high hill with a great view over the city are popular among young people.

Photography Tips

For great photos at Bunkers del Carmel, visit during sunrise or sunset for the best light and fewer crowds. Use a wide-angle lens to capture the full panoramic view of Barcelona. Experiment with silhouettes against the colorful sky or use a person in the foreground for depth. A tripod can help with low-light shots, especially for night photography. Try different perspectives, like shooting from lower angles to emphasize the cityscape. Lastly, arrive early to find the best spot and avoid the crowds in peak hours.
