Since 1972, the island of Öland is connected by a bridge to the mainland near Kalmar. At its opening and long after, the six-kilometer long Ölandsbron was considered Europe's longest. It is not anymore but it still offers fascinating sights.
Travel Information
There is a road exit to the small island of Svinö. Almost under the bridge, there is a car park and camper park with good supply and disposal facilities. To photograph the bridge, the place is perfect.
