The Val Morteratsch is a valley created by glacier retreat in the municipality of Pontresina in the canton of Graubünden. It begins on the northern flank of the Piz Bernina, runs in a straight line from south to north and after about 8 kilometers flows into the Val Bernina near Morteratsch
