Mettmenalp has a wonderful reservoir. Around the lake are several beautiful spots where you can take fotographs of the lake and the surrounding mountains. There are also countless waterfalls from small to large, representing a wonderful subject.

Travel Information

Travel to Schwanden (Glarus) and then either take the bus to "Kies (Niederental)" or drive to Kies, where the lower terminus of the cable car is located. The cablecar itself departs every thirty minutes (a trip up and down is about SFr. 18.-).
