Thailand Railay Beach Thailand
Railay beach offers one of the most spectacular coastal views in Thailand. The place can get crowded during the day and at sunset, but if you head to the northern end of the beach you'll find some solitude and some nice rocks to use as foreground interest.
Photography Tips
This view works best for sunset, but sunrise will also work. If you get clear skies, you can also attempt some night photography.
Since the view is southward, you'll not get the sun directly in the frame, but if you are lucky you'll get nice sidelight on the karst mountains.
Although you can do day tours to this beach from Krabi, you should stay in one of the hotels at Railay, if you want to photograph this area. It's worth planning a few days, as there are more interesting spots in the area.

Travel Information
To get to Railay beach, you must first travel to Krabi. This can be done from Bangkok either by plane or by train. The plane is the faster option with just 1 hour flight time. It will also not cost much more than the train, if you book early enough.
Once in Krabi, you have to take a taxi or Grab to either the Ao Nang pier or the Ao Nam Mao pier. From there you can get one of the regular long tail boats to Railay beach.
