These are the City Lofts at Salford's Media City, three buildings designed to resemble ship sails.

This a spot particularly tricky to shoot due to how highly contrasty the scene can become.

During sunrise, the sun will hit the buildings in their front, during sunset, the light will hit them from the back. Either way, you will always have one side of the building shining like gold and the other one in almost total darkness.

In any of those cases, a polarizer would help taming down the light reflections.

Best way to get here is by using the Metrolink tram, there is a tram stop 300 meters away. If driving there are several affordable car parks around (this spot is next to a shopping center).
